Digital Community-in-MOTION
A curated virtual series by Pioneers Go East Collective

Digital Community-in-MOTION allows us to connect with artists and communities on the virtual platform. We expanded our digital offering to include both zoom streaming and talkbacks with the artists + Youtube and Vimeo channels.

We believe the arts are essential to understanding the unique yet universal struggles of human experience.

During the isolation we felt during the pandemic, we decided to host a series of filmed dance experiments featuring thought-provoking artists, choreographers & performance artists engaged with our community. We filmed in-venue and shared new works on our free and accessible online platform. We broadcast the films on Zoom, followed by talkback discussions with the featured artists & the films are now available on our Vimeo channel. Conceived as an interim response, Digital Community-in-MOTION now complements our live curated programming, CROSSROADS, and OUT-FRONT!

Pioneers Go East Collective was founded to stand at the nexus of art, activism, beauty, and justice. We are inspired by the legacy of LGBTQ and Feminist artists and activists in New York City and beyond. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that spans diverse points of view.
